Ever since I could remember, I have had an undying passion and love for animals. No matter what animal or whose animal, I had to be near them.
As I got older I realized that my childhood dream of becoming a vet was not just me being a child.
Although becoming a vet would be incredible, I found something more meaningful.
It's not about the money or having a degree behind my name, it is all for the better good. To change a life that seemed hopeless. To see joy in the eyes of those which were once sad.
It's about getting licked all over my face the second i step in the door because for the entire day they were waiting for me to come home. For me to lay next to them and kiss their sweet faces. It's about knowing that their hearts are so happy because I could make their world brighter.
For years before I completed school my parents would ask me what I would like to do with my life, and somehow I could never provide them with a definite confident answer, I would jump around from career to career, and two years later after I had completed school, now working, it hit me.
I am here to change the lives for those who cannot control their circumstances. I am here to save the lives of those who have been abandoned and betrayed by the ones they thought loved them. I am here to change even the littlest of lives, because those lives have the biggest hearts.
For as long as I can remember my home was never without a dog. I have experienced the joy of saving a beautiful girl off the streets and taking her home. I call her my good deed, my eye opener. Her name is Puppy, I found her one night when some friends and myself went to get some food. She was so hungry, so lonely and so cold. Fortunately for me no one else could take her, I had the amazing honour of providing shelter, food and comfort to this pretty girl. At first she

was scared, uneasy and very nervous, as you could only imagine her to be. We fed her some meat we had bought for a braai and gave her some water. I had never ever witnessed such hunger and thirst the way I had that night. I fell in love, and from that moment, I would do all I can to save as many lives I am capable to. After a few nights with us, she finally settled in and came out of her shell a little, soon after that Puppy was home. Happy, healthy and safe.
A little over a year ago, I moved out of my parents house and my partner and I had gotten a place of our own, we got our first baby together, Milo. Needless to say, he is one handsome boy. From there our family grew, we then got Tyson and Bambi. My partner soon learnt that our home would be open to all those in need.

My journey continues with many goals ahead, but no matter how difficult it may become, they are the reasons I do what I do. So that others can I have what they have and so much more. All lives matter, no matter how big or small. A life is a miracle no matter what, a heart is a heart.

My partner has been nothing but supportive and has grown an exceptional fondness to my passion. I am grateful that God has blessed me and I only hope to bless others.
